From the Principal

A Warm Welcome

We welcome your interest in St. Raphael’s Catholic Primary School. We offer a holistic, faith-filled, and comprehensive Catholic education for your child and strive for academic excellence in all areas of the curriculum.

We at St. Raphael’s promote and live by the Catholic faith tradition and foster positive relationships through the Gospel values of Acceptance, Honesty, Trust, and Hope, which underpin everything we do. We have a strong sense of Catholic identity and spirituality.

In response to a rapidly changing world, our approach to learning and teaching is based on a shared Vision, the Victorian Curriculum, and instructional evidence-based programs that offer a coherent and knowledge-rich approach to learning. We aim to provide all students with a nurturing, inclusive, and strong sense of pastoral care.

The school’s transformation from its traditional classroom setting into a contemporary, engaging, and safe learning environment attends to the needs of individual learners.  We believe that learning and teaching should be innovative and dynamic, where children learn to be active and independent learners and socially responsible people.

We at St. Raphael’s foster a positive and inclusive culture that works in partnership, valuing lifelong learning and trusting relationships.

“The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short, but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark.” - Michelangelo

At St. Raphael’s, ‘every child has a face and a place,’ and we pride ourselves on knowing, nurturing, and respecting every member of our school community.

When choosing a school, consider carefully the value of an education for your child that is preparing them for the future.
